Putting the blame on USA or any other country is a convenient "passing of the buck." The fact is that throughout its known history, even before America was discovered by Columbus, the people of what is now known Afghanistan and the North West Frontier Province have been ruthless warriors, divided into tribes, perpetually at war with each other. And no coloniser, no ruler has ever been able to govern them.
Individually, they are the nicest, most hospitable people and they live in some of the most beautiful mountainous countryside anywhere in the world. But, collectively they find it impossible to live in peace with each other, or even to let any one - even one of their own - to govern them.
I think America-bashing simply passes the buck and responsibility. Unless everyone realizes that everyone's future is effected by such wars, each country will do whatever it "thinks" they need for self preservation.
Yeah, old wine, new bottles
