Poetry of the day

Growing Up

It happened when we grew up .
Earlier it was always possible
to get back to friends together
on decisive matters in a day or two
like if you manage to spit
upon the shadow of a flying eagle
it will not , after all , turn
into a gleaming gold coin ,
or horses can sleep standing up ,
or girls are quite different
but are human beings still –
and , clean , go to sleep
of a reconciled universe .
Growing up , growing old, afterward
has been made up of going away
in various ways
of friends and everyone else ;
piling up of decisive matters
unreconciled ; turning of sleep
into a long season of waiting –
like an exile in this universe .

i carry your heart with me

i carry your heart with me (i carry it in

my heart) i am never without it (anywhere

i go you go, my dear; and whatever is done

by only me is your doing, my darling)

    e e cummings

some friends always carried your poems shared poems in their heart from school days to balding days.
I agree that distance never helps and time does not heal. Resolutions of facts or the new year ones pile up with age and dust. shelves full of old selves bend with their burden. individuals away from the dreams of the collectives devoid of action tired of reactions.lonely posing as loners, bored lost waiting.
quietly you will never go! aging but raging not mellowing. dare you will dare to disturb us and the sleeping universe.
