We have a mixed record on reusing other people's ideas. It is per-se not bad or good. In fact, the business world is replete with examples how some one starts a model or a product or service and in time (if it starts showing signs of success) many join the band wagon. There is a brief period of mayhem, after which a few are left behind!
The trick is to get a hang of the essence of success or failure before replicating. In India, we have a poor record of learning from History. We never learnt from the Partition of Bengal before trying our hand in Sri Lanka, Chandigarh issue and now it will be the Telengana issue!!
